Sculpture, steel and copper collage of 2011, is part of a small collection of geometric abstract art painting on space ufology, space, flying saucers and space machines. The idea of these artworks concretizes fascination with spatialism, spatial art, the idea of the beyond and the search of space. The tree in the space, a symbol of earth, an “image ordered with precision in space” is the direct example of relationship with the historical master of Spatialism Lucio Fontana, that created the awareness of spatial art in Antonio Saporito, in the early 60s.

Untitled, steel and collage of 2011, is stll again a Spatialism' artwork with flying saucer that seems to be captured in the net. With right among the spatialists, the indisputable artistic personality of Antonio Saporito was recognited to him by professionals and critics. They wrote about him: “Substantially, Saporito formulates the poetics of a new spatialism understood as a fusion of subjectivity and objectivity that often makes use of the reiteration of the image ordered with precision in space. Saporito aspires to the universal and his spatialism is closely related to the absolute formal invention.” GIORGIA CASSINI
